When we first launched Eagle Direct in 2007, (sister company of Medical House) we compiled a collection of quotes that we liked and sent them to customers, suppliers and friends. The response was amazing – everybody likes quotes!  We called that book, “Do or do not, there is no try.”
 
Two years later we launched Medical House Ltd, revised the quote book with a few new ones and gave the quote book away as we met our new customers.  Again the response was amazing, and we would get calls from customers, their patients and all sorts of people asking for another copy… until we ran out!
 
The wise, funny, sad, impertinent, knowing words of others seem to resonate with us as we often nod our heads in agreement with what has been said.  The wise men and women have managed to put into a sentence what we understand to be true. 
 
The title of our second book comes from the first quote, “Nobody trips over mountains – it is the small pebbles that cause you to stumble.  Pass all the pebbles in your path and you will find you’ve crossed over the mountain.” 
 
Our third Quote Book is titled 'I may not agree with what you say' from Voltaire's famous words “I may not agree with what you say but I defend to the death your right to say it.”

We are very proud to publish our fourth edition, after collecting quotes throughout the year from conferences, friends, family and customers.  Appropriately titled 'Passionately Curious' from Einsteins Quote: "I have no special talent.  I am only passionately curious".  We loved putting this book together and the quotes provided much needed laughter and inspiration after the rough shakes we have endured in Canterbury.

Many of the quotes in our books have been chosen because they align with our Ten Core Values. These are listed at the end of the book and encapsulate what we are all about. This is the way we run our company and our daily interactions with each other, our suppliers and our customers. Business for us is not a way to make money or fill in the days, but rather to offer the opportunity to create change in ourselves and the world in which we operate.
